If you are thinking about your Thanksgiving Food, here are some ideas for this year’s Thanksgiving Food:
Perfectly Roasted Turkey:
A simple Roasted turkey. First of all, choose the right size of the turkey. It should be between 12 to 14-lb. For a turkey of weight from 12 to 14-lb pounds it will take at least 3 to 4 hours in the oven. The cooking time of the turkey depends upon the size of the turkey and whether it is stuffed or not.
Before putting your turkey in the oven, while your oven is preheating, let your turkey sit in room temperature so that it cooks evenly. If you want the skin to be crisp, use a roasting rack though you don’t need it if you have a base of vegetable under the turkey.
For turkey with crispy skin, start with hot temperature and gradually bring down. For example, put your turkey in the oven with hot heat (450 degrees) for the first 30 minutes and then reduce the temperature to 350 degrees. If you need more taste and golden skin then add a lot of butter while it roasts.
Green Bean Casserole:
Second most common dish for the thanksgiving season is Green Bean Casserole. It is considered the essence of Thanksgiving Food. These are some of the most common way to make green bean work.
Always use fresh or frozen green beans but if you have canned beans they will work too. Green beans are not available in November so use frozen beans.
Sauté Mushrooms and Onions
Sauté thinly sliced onions in the butter, it will give a blast of flavor. Make sure your mushrooms are caramelized a little.
You can make your own Cream Sauce by melting butter, add flour and whisk it, add milk while you whisk. Let it cook and simmer as it gets thicker.
If you are a cheese lover, you can mix shredded cheddar into the green beans. Any cheese would work.

How much salt is required for this?
For every 4 pounds, use 1 tablespoon of salt. If you have an 8-pound turkey then you will need 2 tablespoons of salt. If you want to crisp the skin even more then use sugar.
